Happy 4th of July!!

Boston, as the oldest city, is known to have the best Independence Day Fireworks display across the United States, even better than New York (or so they say). What's so special? They are really big, they are accompanied with music, they have shaped: stars, planets, numbers, smiley faces, palm trees, shooting stars, circles, and heart (during which the Boston Pop played Unchained Melody in the background). Not to forget some of my own interpretation: worms, anemones, jellyfish and a 4-years-old girl's interpretation: spiky hairs. But, well, nothing much. Just fireworks afterall.

The pictures aren't mine. I got them from a friend. I wasn't there, standing/sitting/picnicking under the pouring rain and cold weather with thousands of people by the Charles River. Instead, I was at my friend's 16th-floor apartment unit. The TV was switched on (so we didn't miss the music) and we were looking out from the raindrops-covered windows. Nine (young) adults and four toddlers, camped together and cramming the corner. It was great, the first time at MIT that I was surrounded by many people speaking Indonesian =).

And here is our MIT dome...
