A cross-eyed guy who always slept in the class but was always the only one who could keep up with the Professors.
He was famous among MIT community, undergrad, grad students, and professors alike.
He took all the most difficult (and killer undergrad and grad) courses in Mathematics and Computation and excelled in all of them.
Last Fall, we took PDE together. We gave him a nickname "The PDE Guy" as he was the only one to ask and answer questions, all correct.
This Spring, I happened to know that he was only an undergrad!! Shame on us the grad students.
Here at MIT, everybody talked about this genius, James T. Albrecht.
He was very very distinctively bright and brilliant.
He just died mysteriously in New York. Just google his name and you'll get other news covered about him.
Shocking, shocking indeed.
Farewell, PDE guy...
May be Heaven needs a Mathematician, we have to be fair...
