Well..

Well since I'm already here now I may as well just update you with things that happened recently.

Yesterday, I was "threatened" to be deprived from something that makes life more worth-living (well, it's DEFINITELY an overstatement hehehe).

I somehow felt like having a short break, so I just took a half-day leave (I've told you it's short), scheduled for tomorrow (13 April 2006). It was triggered by me thinking "which church to attend to on Holy Thursday?". My first choice is of course my favourite, the one located at the heart of this city. Somemore, the Archbishop will be the main celebrant during Holy Week. But with me working at Clementi, it's a bit difficult to reach there on time (coupled with the fact that it will be very crowded and you'll end up standing up if you're a bit late).

And also I thought, I've been wanting to go and enjoy browsing books in Borders but something would always come along and the plan is canceled/postponed until God-knows-when hehehehe.

So I applied.

Yesterday, I got some glitches in the program. Glitches with big (I want to put humongous here actually) frequency and amplitude. Annoying!! My God, I almost give up the possibility of having my short break. People are asking me "but you almost leave the job already?"

Yeah.. in fact, that's the very reason why...
Two persons who are doing a specific area in two projects (me and another one) are leaving. He'll leave earlier actually, end of this month. No replacement yet.
That's why... we are expected to have a good deliverable and wrap it up very nicely with complete documentation. In short, more are expected from us.
Some even suggest me not to really care about it, but hey, imagine if you are in their positions.. it will be a double-headache. So I might as well help them.

The madness I had yesterday benumbed me from tiredness and hunger. Seriously! I didn't feel like going back. But of course I left office eventually, simply because I had given up. Perhaps because my brain couldn't be forced to do further work.

It was also worsened by my colleague asked me to have a meeting today's morning, so I can explain further the algorithm that I've been developing all this while. "Oh, less time to fix the bug" I thought (and luckily, he is hooked up on a meeting or something today and the meeting is canceled so I can finish what I have planned to finish today. Yayy).

Today I kept my fingers crossed as I still wish to have my short break and I'll be meeting up some friends also tonight.

Yeah, as programming often mocks us, this morning I fiddled with it, change some variables and surprisingly it works!! When I said surprisingly, it really was. As until now, why and how that change of variables affect my program remain as mysteries to me. But... who cares??
*whoakakakakakakkakakakakkaak*

So I continued my work today, still keeping my fingers crossed not to have another glitches at least until tomorrow. I still have tonnes of programming and heaps of paperworks to do!!

Oh OK OK gotta go now.. meeting friends at Holland Village. A very small girls' nite out! (and I am ravenous already...)
