Regarding hairstyles, a friend of mine (I believe she will also read this *hello!!*) told me that she has "been there done that".Which is true. I have known her for... almost ten years? And she has changed her hairstyles (and colours) an ample of time!! Bob, short, long, with fringe, without, rebond, perm, natural... you name it!!
Me, I haven't changed mine since... 1987? It was when I entered primary school. Minus several time in ballet class or performance as I had to tied them very neatly in a bun. Minus several time when I just let it down. And ouw yea... I tried to perm it once *following the advice of no other than my ever-fashionista mother*. But since my hair is too fine and limp *and silky, if I may add wuakakkakakaka* it was a failure and only lasted for... three days? Then my hair looked a bit messy afterwards but as it was always in a ponytail so it didn't matter. In two months the perm had completely gone. No trace. At all.
The other time, my (ever-fashionista) mother dragged me to the saloon and asked the saloon sissy to dye, highlight and style my hair. She told him (or her?) "Her hair is soooooooo boring. She is still young, she should perk her looks up!!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!!!" (It was me)
"Yes, she should. Just do it"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!!!"
"Tante.. tante... so what should I do, tante?" (this was, of course, the hairstylist).
"Just select the best colour for her hair"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!!!"
"Aduh, tante... aduh... so how?"
...
...
Then I gave up. OK OK, I said. Highlight OK. But NO dyeing. Styling OK as long as I can have my ponytail.
Snip. Snip.
"Tadaaaa...... It's finished!!"
"Why is this part so short?" (it was me)
"It's to style up your hair. A kind of sideway fringe"
"Oh OK"
It was obvious, I still keep my ponytail PLUS extra hair pins (to keep that 'sideway fringe' in place).
Now, my mom's never forced me to do my hair up anymore. Though she has started fussing "So what are you going to do with your hair on your wedding day?".
Oh mom, just accept it that this daughter of yours would never be as fashionista as you, not even close... (oh yeah, she has "been there done that" with hair, looks, fashion... but NO surgery, in case you are wondering hahaha. People often think she is my sister.)
The photo is courtesy of him. Photoshop is by her. Hehehe.
