RENT!!

So I watched RENT yesterday. I have waited for this movie from last year. Feel like expecting a baby. And now I am compelled to recommend it to you.

It's hip!! It's fun!! Lots of songs. Beautiful voices.

Real love. Real Story. Real life. It's moving. It's touching.

The opening song is GRAND. Grand with all-capital. Seasons of Love has always been one of my favourite. Definitely a song that listening to it makes we wishing that I could sing. Really!! To be able to sing well and to sing that song.

I love the movie right from the start, when the music starts playing.

Haiiizz, I remember suggesting Seasons of Love as our musical's grand finale song. But as other production team members didn't know the song and didn't really bother to know, Copacabana was chosen instead. It's still nice, of course (Barry Manilow's gitu lho...) but it's still not a Seasons of Love.

It's not shown widely in Singapore (I wonder why). But you can go and try the new The Cathay. Near Plaza Singapura. Catch it while you can. I hope you'll enjoy it.

OK OK, I'll spend the last few weekend hours reading Tim Winton's Cloudstreet now.
