If the Virginia Tech Massacre has never occured, probably I will not be as worried as now. Some strange people (non-students) may make use of the situation...
At times, I left the library/reading room at around 1 am and Hayden is a bit far from the main lobby. On some days, I found the hallway empty -- a slight noise can really make me (almost) run. Am I paranoid? FYI, I was at school when the first 1998 riot happened -- so I guess it's normal if I'm slightly paranoid. Anyway, we have to be cautious and vigilant, right?

Yea, the world is a dangerous place. School is a place where you should (at least) feel safe..
I think the riot really gave effects on us. I still feel it too sometimes..
