cheat food

Why do call it 'cheat food'?

Because it's so simple to make, it looks nice and it tastes delicious!! Best of all, it is healthy (vegetarian) and does not take a lot of your time in the making.

So the dish consists of three things: portobello steak, vegetable stoof, and chasoba.

Prepare chasoba:
Cook chasoba according to its packet instruction. Serve on a plate, mix with a dash of olive oil and sesame oil (let your taste but be your guide...). Garnish with seaweed.

Prepare vegetable stoof:
Mix cut carrots and french beans with salt, sugar, pepper, nutmeg (I did also throw the portobello stems). Boil water, throw everything in and close the pan for approximately 10 minutes.

For portobello steak (it's so simple you won't believe it):
Splash a tablespoon of olive oil into the pan. Throw a whole portobello mushroom (scrubbed with oregano and salt) to the heated oil. Fry the mushroom approximately 1-2 minute(s) per side. Splash sherry cooking wine, it will boil immediately and you don't want to let all the wine evaporates... so, after 1 minute, take out the portobello from the pan and serve (with the remaining sherry sauce if there is).

By this time, you're getting very hungry already from the nice smell (sherry wine does the job) and your vegetables are already well cooked and soft. Drain the water, put the vegies in a bowl, toss the hot vegies with a teaspoonful of butter (or more, depending on how much vegies you cook), a dash of salt and pepper, and serve.

Voila!! Your simple, delicious and healthy meal is ready!!
