At last...

I just finished my report. That damn MPI report. That long and exhaustive assignments. The one that kept me fully awake even at the wee hour of the morning. The one that also drove me to be fully awake on the next day (with only one thing in mind: I have to finish it A.S.A.P!!).

I am so pleased. Not because I think I did well there (as if I care.. the time is spent in answering ALL the long questions, plotting ALL the graphs, running ALL the codes with ALL kind of parameters... you won't care about the quality).

Yayy. I can now pay back my sleep. Some of my friends haven't even finished the code. I wonder how they can sleep at night. This assignment is was trully a burden for me. It was soooooooooo exhaustive. Soooooooooooo long. Soooooooooooooo time consuming. Soooooooooooo tedious. And on top of it all, you may not use it again in looooong time. Well, it's good to know about MPI. But to know it heart and soul, bleeehh.... That would be my last option. The MIT professor told us few days ago "I don't think engineers and scientist would love to type MPI_Send and MPI_Recv manually". Yes, I do agree.

I still have my Linear Algebra to think about (exam next week!!), about which I am more worried actually. But I don't think I'll start today. My "engine" is still so hot I think I need to cool down.

And you know what, the very person that gave us that darn assignment is my (most) potential PhD supervisor. I wonder how would it turn out to be. But if you know me from my undergraduates, I DO need "real" pressure to do my projects well. And Francis did pressurize me (big one) last time. We ended up being close friends (after I graduate, of course). And ouw yah, Prof Damodaran is also a good friend of Francis. A sign?
